This panel provided a brief review of the blockchain landscape and an overview of various digital asset financial products with a focus on intricacies related to the due diligence of these products. This included identification of fund-structure questions unique to these products, a review of service providers in the crypto asset field, and long-term complexities worth further consideration.

Nicsa was founded in 1962 as an informal forum for operations and shareholder service professionals in the mutual fund industry, under the name National Investment Company Service Association. Richard L. Casey of State Street Bank & Trust Company in Boston was its founder and first president. Edward D. Windsor of Fidelity Fund (now Fidelity Investments) served as its first secretary, while John R. Vaughn, Jr. of Old Colony Trust Company (now part of the Columbia Management family of funds) was its first Treasurer.
